Roofing, HVAC and plumbing under one integrated system

PLT Roofing is the trading name of PLT GROUP LIMITED, and we work at the point where the roof meets the services that run through it. Instead of installing panels and then handing over to a separate heating and plumbing contractor, we design, supply and fit roof-integrated HVAC and plumbing systems as one job, so the ductwork, pipework and drainage are planned together from the start.

Most properties have a boiler, an air source heat pump or a ventilation unit tucked away in a loft or a plant room, with pipework chased through the fabric of the building. When that plant is moved to the roof space or integrated into the roof itself, the runs get shorter, the penetrations get fewer, and there is less to hide behind plasterboard. We look at the whole route rather than one section of it.

We take on both new builds and retrofit work. On a new build, we can set out the roof structure, the plant position and the service routes at the same time, which usually saves a trade or two on site. On an existing property, we survey what is already there, work around the constraints, and tell you plainly where the roof and the mechanical systems have to compromise with each other.

Our team holds the relevant gas and electrical competencies and works to current building regulations, including Part L and Part F where they apply. We do not subcontract the roofing element to a separate firm, so the person who flashes the penetration is the same person who signs off the pressure test. That single point of responsibility is the reason the business exists.
