Who we are

PLT Roofing designs and installs roof-integrated heating and plumbing systems

PLT Roofing is the trading name of PLT GROUP LIMITED, and we work on the join between the roof and the services inside it. That means heat pumps, cylinders, underfloor heating, radiators, pipework, drainage and the roof itself, planned as one piece rather than bought in from four different trades who never speak to each other.

Most of the homes and small commercial buildings we work on were not designed for a heat pump. The roof may be old, the loft may be tight, and the pipework may run in a way that made sense for a boiler forty years ago. We survey the building properly, then set out where the outdoor unit goes, how the cylinder and buffer are arranged, and what has to change in the roof to make the whole thing weathertight and quiet.

Because we cover both the roof and the services, the work is sequenced by us and not by whoever turns up first. Scaffold goes up once, the roof is prepared once, and the pipe runs through the loft and down to the plant are agreed before anyone cuts a hole. It saves the usual argument about who should have been on site before whom, and it means one firm is accountable when something needs putting right.

We keep our paperwork in order and our installations logged, so warranties, building control notifications and manufacturer registrations are handled as part of the job rather than left to the customer. If you need a system that has to meet a particular specification, or a landlord who needs the works documented for a compliance file, tell us at the enquiry stage and we will price it that way.

Enquiries are read by the people who do the work. If we are not the right firm for your project, we will say so early instead of stringing you along, and if the job needs a specialist we do not have, we will point you at one. That is the whole of it, really: a roofing and heating firm that turns up, does the work, and explains itself in plain English.
